![]() I thought Zeus was alone in Olympus when the gods left because they never specified that some gods stayed nor did they show said gods until Zeus had his throat slashed. The story is so rushed that every interaction with the characters feels fake and the lack of depth between the gods is insane. Until this comment I was legitimately thinking there was a different anime you had to watch before understanding this one because the show I'm watching is completely different than what the reviews are saying. The only explanation is that the story explains this, but fucking how? I can't gather the will to even watch another episode after Cerberus gets teased as a cliffhanger. I have so many questions that nobody else seems to have. Why even bother using Greek mythology when the only recognizable features are the names? Is this supposed to be a Castlevania prequal? Demons? If the antagonist is named 'Seraphim', what Greek era is this supposed to be, 1st century AD? Are they really writing an Unhinged-Hera/Loving(cheating)-Zeus in 2020? Is Zeus trying to nurture humanity into taking the reigns of earth? Adamantium? Wait, is the vase made of Adamantium? What the fuck was the point in using giants instead of titans? Was that Zeus flying around with a lightning hammer like he's Thor? Does Heron not find his strength the least bit suspicious? Is he not Heracles? The mythology feels like Golden-Age Wonder Woman Greek mythology. That's not even counting the eyerollingly pretentious opening text ![]() ![]() Within the first 5 mins, the moment the amazon catches the spear with not so much as even a bit of recoil or effects (you know, to take advantage of the medium of animation), I knew I was in for a ride. Oh god, the reviews had me questioning reality too. ![]()
